What is Clipboard?

The clipboard, sometimes known as the pasteboard, is a particular location in the memory of a computer, phone, or tablet where cut or copied text or other data is temporarily saved. It is possible to copy something from the clipboard and paste it somewhere else. The information in the clipboard is preserved until you cut or copy something else, or log off of the computer.

A user may, for example, copy material from a word processor and paste it into an e-mail message. When a user pastes from the clipboard several times, the same information is pasted each time. When the user then copies anything else, the new data replaces the old data in the clipboard.

By using Clipboard history, you may copy as many objects as you like to a virtual clipboard and access them at any moment.
